David Bugajski is a Senior Equity Research Analyst for Elizabeth Park Capital Management. He brings 25 years’ experience covering banks and other financial services companies. His nuanced, hands-on approach allows him to identify innovative investment opportunities dedicated to the banking and financial industry. David’s distinguished career spans three decades, navigating institutional and national events, various economic environments, and secular financial trends. His curated process to risk analysis/management and uncompromising commitment to put clients’ interests first is what sets him apart in a variable and effusive industry.
Prior to joining the EPCM team, David was the Managing Director of Financial Services at DISCERN. Prior to this, David was an Equity Portfolio Manager for Pyramus Global Advisors, where he was dedicated to banks and thrifts. Before this, he was a Senior Equity Research Bank Analyst for Credit Suisse Asset Management. In addition, David notably served as a Senior Equity Research Analyst for Alger immediately after September 11th, in a dedicated effort to stabilize and rebuild the firm’s investment process. Earlier in his career, he was the Director of Research for Invesco US.
David earned his MBA in Finance at the University of Pittsburgh, Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business. He received his BBA in Finance and Marketing from the University of Michigan. As an industry authority, he has been featured in the Wall Street Journal and on Bloomberg Radio. David lives in Ann Arbor, MI with his wife and three sons.
