His distinguished investment recommendations are the result of consummate institutional research experience that spans three decades navigating various economic environments and financial trends. His uncompromising commitment to steadfast best-practices and principled ethics has made him a pillar of performance excellence and trusted industry advisor.
Prior to joining the EPCM team, Gerry was a Senior Partner at Maltese Capital Management, LLC. Here he dedicated himself to the investment management of a $1.5B hedge fund portfolio focused on the banking and financial services industry. Gerry performed extensive financial analysis on 75+ publicly-traded banks with market caps ranging from $1M to $25B. Prior to this, he was a Research Analyst for Sander O’Neil & Partners LP, where he actively followed 20 mid- and large-cap publicly traded banks in the Midwest and Southwest. Prior to that, he was a Senior V.P. of Equity Research at McDonald Investments. Gerry launched his career at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston as a Bank Examiner.
Gerry earned his MBA in Finance from Boston University, Graduate School of Management. He received his BA in Economics from Bowdoin College, where he was a NCAA scholar-athlete. He has earned the distinctive accolade of Commissioned Bank Examiner from the Washington Federal Reserve Board. He successfully earned his Series 7 and Series 63 licensure. He is an ardent supporter of the Detroit Achievement Academy in Detroit, MI and long-standing supporter of The Jimmy Fund for the Boston area. Gerry calls the Boston area home along with his extended family, where he dedicates himself to his many nieces and nephews.
